Shortlisted for the Iron Horse Chapbook prize 2020, the Creative Futures Writing Prize 2019, the Aesthetica Creative Works Prize 2011, the Stand Short Story Prize, Malcolm Dixon's short fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals, including The London Magazine, Aesthetica, Slice, Grain, Edge, Prole, Palimpsest, Crannóg & many more. In December 2022, a first collection of five themed stories was published by e-Wordrunner Chapbooks under the title DEATH IN THE CATHEDRAL— A NOVELLA IN FIVE STORIES. A second collection, TESTAMENT was released under the same electronic imprint in August 2024. Malcolm’s YA novel THE LITTLE HOUSE ON EVERYWHERE STREET, published by Fitzroy Books under the pen-name F.M.A. Dixon, won the Acheven Prize for YA Fiction 2019 and the Write Blend Best YA Novel Award 2023. The sequel novel, RETURN TO EVERYWHERE STREET, will be published by Burton Mayers Books in November 2024. Originally from Liverpool, he now lives with his wife and two daughters near Canterbury (UK).
